Register early for free arts advice

January 13, 2011

Call it speed-dating for arts mavens: the Los Angeles County Arts Commission is sponsoring an upcoming “Arts Tune-Up” that will offer artists and arts administrators a whirlwind opportunity to make some contacts and pick up good advice on developing, promoting, marketing and managing their own artistic endeavors. Register now on SurveyMonkey for the session that’s scheduled for Saturday, February 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SPARC (Social and Public Art Resource Center), located at 685 Venice Blvd. in Venice.

Those attending will find tables staffed with art expert/consultants each prepared to discuss a specific topic, such as arts education, community outreach, individual fundraising and marketing, and even health care and health insurance for self-employed individual artists. Participants will spend 25 minutes at a given table before rotating to the next one with a fresh topic of interest.
